Barbara P - Director I have been a member of Fremont HOG since 2002. During that time I have been the New Member Officer (2003), Treasurer (2004), Activity Officer (2005), Assistant Director (2006) and Director in 2007. I took a year off to recoup some energy and am ran for assistant director in 2009 and am proud to be the 2010 Director. As the Director, I will work with the officer team to ensure that chapter members get the most from their membership and of course ensure members can do what HOG is all about – RIDE and HAVE FUN. I am very excited about 2010 and look forward to a great year of riding and making new friends. I have also been a road captain since 2004 and am always looking for new ideas for rides, destinations and restaurants. If you have any, please feel free to drop them on me. I started out on a Sporster named appropriately “Purple Haze” because of the gorgeous purple color. I moved from that to the Silver Bullet – 2002 V-Rod when my husband got his Ultra Classic. After traveling to the Grand Canyon and running out of gas on the road between Barstow and Needles, it was decided that I needed a bike with a bigger gas tank. So now I am on a beautiful Black Cherry Road Glide.

I'm married to Michael Krebs, who rides a 2007 Electra Glide Ultra Classic in Blue Suede Pearl.  His first Harley was a 2006 Dyna Super Glide, but we were having so much fun riding that we upgraded to the full dresser.  It's much more comfortable for two-up.  In 2007 I had my knees replaced and needed 2008 to recover, which is why I didn't go on any rides.  I'm looking forward to getting back in the saddle.  Maybe even one day I might have my very own Harley!  I'm thinking a Tri Glide Ultra Classic!  Oh ya!

I learned how to ride in the dirt on a Yamaha YZ 250 (not recommended by the way, but it was free) way back in 1976 and after mastering that somewhat (along with the bumps and bruises always associated with dirt bike riding) I learned how to ride on the street.  That motorcylce was awesome!  It was a Honda 400F Supersport and back then they were called 'cafe racers'.  That Honda was free, too.  Perfect first motorcycle for me when I was younger and much more fearless.  Then in 1993 I got a Kawasaki 440 LTD (yes, again free) and rode that for awhile until it crapped out.  Literally.

The best motorcycle to date?  Michael's big blue beautiful Harley-Davidson!  Those other bikes are in the past, but I'll always be grateful that I was given the opportunity to learn how to ride.  We joined the Fremont H.O.G. Chapter in May, 2006 and the first people we met were Jill and Frank Russo and it turns out Michael and the Russo's have known one another for years.  At the end of that meeting they came up to us and they and Michael were surprised they shared a love of Harley-Davidson.  They made us feel very welcome and since then we've made many wonderful friends.  Now look where I am?  Your chapter secretary and I'm looking forward to it!  I love being a part of this chapter!

Dianna Scholberg - Editor It is with great pride and appreciation that I introduce myself to you as the editor of the Fremont HOG newsletter.

As a new member in 1999, I eagerly awaited the printing of the newsletter each month. Our goal is to have the newsletter posted on the Fremont HOG web site by the 1st of each month. The newsletter provides details for our upcoming events, pictures to the run that you just couldn't make the previous month and the memories of the ones you did. Our officers provide articles relating to safety, upcoming charity functions we support as a Chapter, New Member information and of course birthday dates to harass your fellow chapter members.I look forward to seeing everyone on the road and hearing any suggestions that you have for our "family newsletter".

Marian Stevens - Webmistress/Historian My name is Marian Stevens, and I have been in the Chapter since June of 2005.  I've been riding my Harley since April 30, 2005 and have enjoyed, as of this writing, over 30,000 miles of fun.  I was really pleased this past year to have made the Top Ten Percent and worked hard to get there - and improved my riding skills.

I'm pleased to once again have the honor of being the Chapter's Webmistress; I have been doing websites since 1995 and still thoroughly enjoy it.  I look forward to a lot more riding this year and remember, if you want to see something on the website and you don't see it - just ask.

Cheers and keep the shiny side up!
